Lori Cohen had a job that journalism-school graduates would covet. She was a producer for the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour at WGBH-TV in Boston. While there, Cohen won Peabody and national Emmy awards. Then, she was chosen for a Nieman at Harvard, a midcareer year for learning, exploration and fellowship. After that Cohen jumped out of journalism to co-found MarketSpace, a media and information-technology consulting practice of the Monitor Group, where she was named a partner in 2000. She showed her strength in aligning a firm’s business and marketing strategy for rapid and sustained growth. Over the years at her Catalyst Strategies (now BlueSky Branding) and Mavens & Moguls, she developed strategic marketing initiatives for Fortune 500s to startups and nonprofits. She helped launch LimoLiner, the first coach to have wireless in the Northeast Corridor. She renamed and rebranded Gazelle, a green re-Commerce service. She worked with Bridgewell, nonprofit providing services to people with disabilities. Before bringing her marketing savvy to Mobiquity as the CMO, Cohen consulted with the mobile-marketing firm Vibes.
