Bio

Parag Mehta is an entrepreneur with experiences and interests in the fields ranging from digital media to imaging to cleantech to agriculture to genomics. Currently, Parag is the co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Gigaplex, a Boston-based company that distributes feature films and TV serials globally via dedicated Apps running on portable devices. Prior to Gigaplex, he was the CEO of TerraGreen Biologics, a Boston-based company developing new biologics-based farm inputs to replace fertilizers & pesticides and products for treatment of the municipal waste for generation of energy. Before founding TGB, Parag co-led CEO’s Office of Business Development at Microvision (NASDAQ:MVIS) managing strategic partnerships and M&A initiatives globally for adoption of laser-based MEMS technology into automotive and consumer electronics industries. Before Microvision, Parag was the co-founder & CEO of Navitas International Corporation, a structured finance Vehicle, formed to raise $120M via IPO from US capital markets for M&A transactions in Energy, Water and Transportation sectors in India. Before founding Navitas, Parag was the co-founder, member of the Board of Directors and VP of Product Delivery at Aprilis; a company commercializing the optical data storage and biometric security products. The company later became division of Dow Corning Corporation. Before Aprilis, Parag spent ten years at Polaroid Corporation, holding multiple management positions in R & D, Holography and Consumer Film divisions. Parag received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY and M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. He is co-inventor of 18 patents.
