Bio

Nancy Saucier has more than 10 years experience in marketing and public advocacy, seven of which she has spent dedicated to the venture capital community. She has extensive knowledge of start-up activity and strategy, venture capital, community and alliance development, and organization operations management. At New England Venture Capital Association, Nancy initiated entrepreneur focused projects, raised the profile of the association, as well as grew and stabilized the organization during a period of industry decline. Her other client work included a variety of marketing services, strategic planning, LP Communications, media relations, public outreach programs, brand definition, internal and external event planning, and external communications. At the National Venture Capital Association, Nancy served the venture community in several positions. As Director of Northeast Operations she was the primary interface between the association and the venture community in New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to Northeast Operations, Nancy established and directed the NVCA Medical Industry Group Activities. The MIG remains dedicated to providing life science policy advocacy specifically focused on FDA, CMS, and NIH as well as opportunities to explore industry trends and syndicate deals. She began her career in venture capital as a public policy manager also at NVCA. She has served in various political advocacy and business advisory positions for Forest City Science & Technology Group, the pharmaceutical industry, IBM, American Electronics Association, and the law firm of Manatt, Phelps, & Phillips.
